We’re a neurodivergent-led learning centre based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, combining academic opportunity with a safe, nurturing and neuro-affirming approach – in everything we do. We offer part time, supplementary education for autistic learners.
Every aspect of Oaks Rise is designed with the needs, strengths, and abilities of autistic pupils at the forefront. No exceptions.
We understand that traditional education systems can be challenging for autistic learners. And we also know that too many children spend time out of education, isolated from peers and missing out on so much of their education and their childhood.
But it doesn’t need to be this way.
Inspired by our children’s struggles within the mainstream education system, we recognised a gap in provision for autistic children. We aim to bridge the gap between full-time schooling and one-to-one tuition.
We’ve been working for years to create a provision that is genuinely child-centred, interest-based, neuro-affirming and ambitious for our pupils. One that feels safe and puts relationships, wellbeing and academic opportunity at the centre of everything we do. This approach not only fosters a love for learning but also equips students with the self-esteem, knowledge and skills they need for life.
We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC:14920873), meaning that any money we receive in fees is put straight back into improving provision for our learners.
